Camp Baseball team is headed back to the NJCAA Division III World Series!

After winning two post-season championships, the Camp Community College baseball team is headed back to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division III World Series for the second straight year. Camp won the NJCAA Region 10, Division III championships for the second straight year the weeked of May 3-6. The Hurricanes defeated Surry Community College 8-1 in Martinsville on May 6 to capture their second straight title.

WATA Has New Stop at VPCC Trades Center in Toano

Officials representing Virginia Peninsula Community College and Williamsburg Area Transit Authority (WATA) announced a new bus route to better serve students at the College’s Trades Center in Toano. Camp Community College Awarded a $100K GO Virginia Workforce Development Planning Grant for Mechatronics

Camp Community College has been selected to receive a $100,000 GO Virginia planning grant to describe current needs and gaps in mechatronics in the Western Tidewater region, along with strategies on how to address those needs and create an advisory committee consisting of industry and governmental partners to guide creation of the plan. This grant will go toward surveying the business landscape, workforce skillsets (and skills gaps), and assembling a comprehensive plan to upskill industrial and warehouse workers through both short-term training and long-term degree programs at Camp Community
